Weapons/Powers:

Dimensional Warping: Like Two-Spirit he is able to warp the barriers between dimensions to some degree. The extent of this power is normally centered around himself and his immediate area rather than some universal ability. Powers in this field include limited control over energy and matter and a variant form of intangibility, as well as gravitational alteration.


Other Abilities/Skills: His altered physical form has given him the following powers: Superhuman strength, reflexes and agility. Flight, durability and immortality.


Personal History:

Erich Reiniger was the administrator of a Nazi research facility near the the north pole on the lunar surface. Though he oversaw the running of the base and was in command of the garrison of soldiers that were stationed there he was not in charge of the science teams or their research. The base was predominantly concerned with weapons development and resource gathering, such as strip mining the surface for precious Helium-3 deposits. On March 1, 1941 a mysterious artifact had been discovered within the Peary crater along the shadowed southern third of the crater floor; this information was withheld from all those not associated with the science teams. The last anyone heard from the base was on November 4, 1943 during a "freak" lunar eclipse, the only segments of this transmission that could be made out were the words "shadow" and "alive," after that no further messages were received from the base; the only sound that could be heard was a distinctly unnatural writhing sound.

On October 10, 1948 a strange signal is received worldwide. Its source was unknown however certain members of the super being population of the Earth were begining to be affected by the strange transmission. Precog's and reality warper's were the greatest effected but no sooner had the signal started than it abruptly ceased broadcasting altogether. In the early hours of November 10, 1948 several maintenance workers vanished while down in the London Bridge Sewer, not long after that the creature that would become known as Tartarus erupted from beneath the city streets; drawing the attention of the group called the Hour-Men. A dangerous cat and mouse game ensued for the next couple of weeks with skirmishes between the two escalating until the creature was driven back into the sewer system and finally defeated. The loss of many civilian and armed forces lives had caused some, both outside and inside the group, to question the character of the Hour-Men's current leadership in this situation.

December 10, 1948 was notable for two events: one was the United Nations General Assembly adopting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the other was the appearance of the Uebersein. The villain had torn through a British military base and research center slaughtering thousands; he had forced his way through an experimental Mystech gateway that had been retrieved from the Nazi's after the war. The Uebersein seemed erratic though determined to find whatever it was he was looking for. Four of the core members of the Hour-Men arrived and assessed what they were up against. Tacticus, the Dark Hour and Mother Hero engaged him in close quarters combat while Two-Spirit hung back and used his reality forming powers to alter the battlefield to their advantage; this strategy however didn't exactly go to plan. It soon became apparent to the heroes that the Uebersein also had the ability to manipulate the world around him, he cut through all but the most powerful of Two-Spirit's assaults.

He sent Tacticus hurtling back at incredible speed towards the research centers outermost reinforced wall, moments before he hit it however the Uebersein altered its properties making it nigh impenetrable; the resulting impact shattered his skeleton killing Tacticus instantly. He then turned his attention to the remaining three heroes who were still in shock at the demise of one of their most trusted and respected allies. Their shock soon turned to anger as they pressed on their attack, the Uebersein seemed to be struggling with his new found powers but he was learning fast how to use them effectively against his assailants. He used an intense gravity punch to send the strongest, Mother Hero, crumpling to the ground; she had been badly injured but alive. The Uebersein calmly strode towards the Dark Hour and Two-Spirit's position sensing victory was near.

He had found a weakness to exploit and decided to use it for maximum effect; he outstretched his right hand and prepared to atomise the remaining heroes and the surrounding area. At that exact moment he sensed their deception as his limited control of space and time kicked in, while he was distracted with their fallen comrade Two-Spirit had created a pocket dimension around the villain. It was too late for him to stop the blast and the subsequent backlash from it but he could increase its magnitude; the resulting explosion was just enough to tear through the pocket dimension catching the Dark Hour, severely injuring him in the process. After the smoke cleared the Uebersein was nowhere to be found; Two-Spirit knew that he hadn't been killed and was still out there somewhere in another far off reality.
